Description
Fantastic and very rare cast iron bust plaque to commemorate the Duke of Wellington. Such items were produced just after the passing of the ‘Iron Duke’ in 1852. This plaque is believed to have been produced by the Litchurch Works (Derby) in circa 1853-54 and would have likely been further mounted, although this example comes in its pre mounted state, making it extremely rare.
