Description
A Flock of Seagulls is a British new wave band formed in 1979, known for their distinctive synth-pop sound and flamboyant hairstyles. They achieved significant commercial success in the early 1980s, particularly in the United States, with hits like “I Ran (So Far Away)” and “Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You)”. The band’s visual style and music were emblematic of the New Romantic movement.
This single, featuring the tracks “Space Age Love Song” and “Windows,” was released in 1982, a period when the band was at the height of their popularity. The artwork on the record label, depicting a satellite dish, reflects the futuristic and somewhat abstract themes often associated with their music and imagery. The single was released on the Jive record label, a prominent label for pop and dance music during the 1980s.
