Prince Rogers Nelson, known mononymously as Prince, was an American singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor. He was a musical innovator and widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of all time. Prince was known for his eclectic work, flamboyant and androgynous persona, and wide vocal range. His music integrated a wide variety of styles, including funk, R&B, rock, pop, new wave, soul, and hip hop.

The New Power Generation (NPG) was a band assembled by Prince in 1990 to accompany him on tour and in the studio. The band served as Prince’s backing band from 1990 to 2013. “Thunder” is a song by Prince and The New Power Generation from his 1992 album, Love Symbol Album. This 12″ picture disc is a collector’s item for fans of Prince and his work with The NPG.
